Learning A New Song: I Made All The Mistakes

A couple of months ago I caught myself staring at the beautiful acoustic guitar I gifted Curtis years ago. I remember the sound of him strumming and learning new chords. It was that day that I decided to take that guitar and learn how to play. I've played instruments all of my life but wanted to truly challenge myself to stick with this one.As time passed, I was having a little bit of trouble gathering the whole strumming and singing thing. To be quite honest, it's tougher than it looks. I've managed to learn a couple of chords here and there, but definitely thinking about investing in some lessons.Since I've learned some basic chords, I've started to add the guitar to my devotional time and it has completely changed everything for me. There's something beautiful and majestic about spending time in the secret place, while God himself downloads Heavens medleyΒ to be revealed out of your lips. Here is a blog exclusive learning session I had today with my niece Debber. We searched the internet for the chords of Matt Redman's "Wide As the Sky", and here's what we came up with.
