LOVE, BEAUTY AND LEGACY

It’s no surprise that I love to explore new products to add to my daily beauty routine. When I found out about the Love Beauty & Planet collection, there were so many things that had me sold. Let’s explore what it looks like when legacy and beauty become partners to help the health and the longevity of the earth we live in.
I shared on Instagram a new product I added to my daily beauty routine. The Muru Butter Hand & Body Lotion became an instant favorite, especially during these brutally cold winter months. A few pumps goes a long way since its creamy consistency is truly soaked into your skin. I’ve noticed that my skin feels smoother and looks super glowy when I apply it right after a bath. I literally smell like a fresh garden and the scent lasts all day! It’s not strong at all but definitely leaves a soft scent of freshness on your skin.
Now I’m no stranger to the Love Beauty & Planet family. A few months ago I was introduced to a few of their products and since then have become my faves. I don’t know about you, but as a curly girl, I enjoy discovering a good shampoo and conditioner combo that won’t dry my hair out. In addition to the Love Beauty & Planet body lotion that is a new favorite in my product stash, I picked up the Coconut Milk & White Jazmine Shampoo & Conditioner, and sis, it did not disappoint! The light weight formula doesn’t weigh my hair down and works with the natural fluff of my hair. You know we love fluffy defined curls over here.
Last but certainly not least, one of the more newer items that I use for my curly hair is the Coconut Milk & White Jasmine Hair Spray. Every so often I need my curls to last a little longer than the average 3 or 4 days. So what do I do? I add a few spritz of this lightweight and soft hold hair spray on my wash day to seal the curls for an extra 2 to 3 days of soft bouncy curls. I looked into the air powered technology and was impressed with how much thought went into the actual functionality of the product and ultimately, how this affects the health of your hair! Because this product it powered by the air in the bottle, it eliminates all the yucky ingredients that traditional hair sprays need to activate the hold they provide. AMAZING, right?!
You may be asking how does beauty and legacy come into play? Well I’m glad you asked. Each Love, Beauty and Planet product is packaged in an eco friendly and 100% recycled plastic bottle. This means that as you show your hair and skin a little love, you’re also contributing to the health of this earth. These small acts eventually evolve into life changing habits for the future of this planet. I plan on taking that a step further by upcycling my personal bottles to use them as makeup brush holders and window sill plant pots. Since I can see right through the plastic, I cannot wait to witness the seeds turn into fully bloomed plants! As you can see, I’m making my way through my current stash but I’m no stranger to the upcycling gang. I have been known to use mason jars as toothbrush or pen holders and kombucha bottles as a home for my fresh flowers or dried out baby's breath.
Going the extra mile and thinking about the future of this planet adds so much joy to my beauty routine. It serves as my small act of love and legacy to those that come after me.
